Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small-quantity metals, is seeking PowerBI Developer to join our team.

Known worldwide as The Convenience Stores for Metal, we are a business-to-business franchised brand with over a hundred brick-and-mortar stores across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

We have been providing businesses and consumers with quality customer service and products since 1985. Our company is experiencing strong growth, and to support that growth we need to expand our team.

This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Power BI dashboard development, PostgreSQL and MS SQL databases, Integration Services, and VBA programming.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing dashboards, ensuring seamless integration with databases, and optimizing current processes for improved efficiency.

This is a contract position, and you are expected to work minimum 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain and improve existing Power BI dashboards to meet evolving business requirements.
• Design and develop new Power BI dashboards as needed, ensuring they are intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with business goals.
• Manage, update, and optimize MS SQL databases to ensure data accuracy and performance.
• Design and implement queries and stored procedures to support reporting requirements.
• Utilize SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from ERP System.
• Ensure smooth integration between systems and databases to support reporting and analytics.
• Maintain and enhance existing VBA developed application.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for dashboards, databases, and processes.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• Minimum 5 years’ experience PowerBI, and Excel VBA programming
• 4+ years implementation of relational or proprietary databases with a strong understanding of SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Comprehensive knowledge of MS Excel application Pivot Tables, Formulas
• Experience with data analytics, BI reporting tool like Jasper Reports
• Understanding of ERP systems is highly desirable
• Experience with Python and Java technologies would be an asset
• Ability to run traces, performance monitoring, blocking & good problem-solving skills are required
• Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity

Pay : $50 per hour (contract - 6 months)
