- Support of design and development of new regulatory and risk requirements from our business partners
- Updating existing DataStage routines to support downstream consumers of business banking data
- Deploying updated programs to various environments
- Design and develop Data Stage routines
- Identify complex process and systems solutions to address major system needs
- Design and develop Unix Shell scripting and writing complex SQL queries
- Debug, troubleshoot and performance tune the Data Stage jobs
- Write unit tests, mocks, participate in code reviews
- Perform change management activities such as source code management, creating activity records for production implementation, creating implementation plans
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- At least 8+ years of strong Data stage ETL experience.
- Candidate should be able to work independently by understanding the design document and handle application development, testing and QA support.
- Prior XML knowledge (reading from XML files and writing to XML files) would be added advantage.
- Should be able to design, develop and test the Data Stage Jobs (Server, Parallel, Sequence)
- Strong SQL knowledge and skilled and experienced in working with relational database structures
- Should be able to design and implement Data warehousing applications
- Should be able to design and create Unix shell scripts for the given requirements
- Should be able to design and create SQL query for the given requirements
- Strong Database modelling experience.
- Banking / Financial Risk experience.
- Experience working in Agile environment
