Your Mission
As a Platform Manager for Network Critical Services, you will be responsible for the administration, evolution and operational support of CAE’s critical networking systems globally.
In this position, you will be part of a global Infrastructure & Operations Team, interacting regularly with peers in other regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC).
Your Role & Main Responsibilities
Be an active member of the technology business transformation
- Lead a team of in-house networking specialists combined with an external managed services partner to manage the operations and growth of critical network infrastructure for the global enterprise (over 100 sites worldwide and global customers)
- Drive operational excellence around the key connectivity framework utilised by customers globally to access CAE-hosted applications;
this framework leverages core components including Palo Alto Prisma, Firewalls and Equinix datacenters
- Lead improvement solutions and related processes applicable to Cloud resource integrations (Azure, AWS, WAF, etc.), this includes managing the cloud-based Panorama for Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls
- Lead improvement solutions and related processes applicable to critical functions such as DNS, Certificates, PKI, AD and Proxy services
- Ensure adequate support maintenance coverage is always in place and the replacement capital spending is aligned with declared end-of-support dates
- Maintain product roadmap for all systems within your scope, and ensure alignment with business expansion objectives and other IT platforms
- Support periodic operational activities such as enterprise disaster recovery planning and testing as well as ongoing improvement initiatives
- Provide technology direction and assist in the preparation of equipment justification, acquisition and IT strategy
- Work closely with the Managed Services partner to track their performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other defined processes
- Ensure all customer-facing processes are well monitored and continuously improved with both internal stakeholders and the managed services partner
- Support or lead periodic governance meetings with the managed service partner, track outstanding service delivery issues and actively work towards their resolution
- Track partner SOW’s from inception / estimates through to closure as well as review aging support tickets assigned to the partner team to uncover bottlenecks and improve processes
- Support periodic review of invoices with the accounting team to ensure completion and challenge missing delivery components

Your Qualifications
- Results-oriented with great team spirit, leadership and motivation skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bi-lingual English and French is an asset
- Autonomous comfortable exercising independent judgment in performing job duties
- Ability to interface with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Minimum 3 years in a first-line leadership role
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Networking technologies or Critical IT Operations
- Experience or aptitude in project management will be an asset
Knowledge of the following will be an asset : SDN technologies, Automation, Cloud Networking
