Here's how a Project Accountant for our Montreal office contributes to our team :

Responsibilities

• Works closely with project teams to ensure that project accounting accurately reflects project progress. Support teams in the preparation of financial forecasts.
• Contributes to maintaining good relations with subcontractors by validating compliance with contractual conditions and payment schedules.
• Collaborates and act as a business partner with project teams and the finance team.
• Analyzes financial data to ensure proper reporting of information in the preparation of various financial reports.
• Prepares customer invoicing files in accordance with contractual conditions and ensure timely payments

Qualifications

• A certificate or diploma in a related field is considered an asset.
• Experience in project planning and budgeting an asset.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of project costing principles, recoveries, insurance and accounting requirements of contracts and sub-contracts an asset.
• Team spirit, strong interpersonal skills, sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently - strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
