Mercer Forestry Services is a progressive and growing company serving customers in the harvesting and transportation industry in southern BC.
Reporting to the Trucking Coordinator, the experienced candidate will bring a strong work ethic, consistently show up to their shifts, and promote high safety standards to this role.
This full time position will include an employer paid benefit and RSP program. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
We offer a strong training and development program for our personnel. A driver located in the Grand Forks area would be ideal for this position.
Duties :
- Driving 10-14 hours a day in bush / highway hauls to different mills
- Service and maintain truck to high standards to ensure minimal downtime
- Maintain weekly trip sheets and provide all information and slips to office staff on a timely basis
- Use Company’s electronic logging device (ELD) to track hours of service and other telematics data
Qualifications :
- Class 1 Driver’s License, minimum of 2 years of log hauling experience in mountainous terrain
- Physically able to throw wrappers, chains
