Job details : Position : Automation & Robotics SpecialistLocation : CanadaReporting to : Engineering DirectorQualification : Engineering degree in Automation, Robotics, IT or equivalent Job Role : Ensure customer satisfaction, projects deliverables meet or exceeds customer’s criteria and the profitability of the assigned mandates are as expected.

Design, simulate, implement and test Robotics solutions for the management systems.Design, program and implement Automation solutions on defined platformsPerform hardware and software installation, staging, control system installation and first time power up inspections, engineering Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning (SAT), start-up support.

Make himself aware of any necessary drawings / documentation needed for projects (system architecture drawings, etc ), compile, organize and share with the project manager supporting documentation obtained from OEM suppliers.

Confirm that all documentation is complete and backed up on the server. (Post FAT, SAT documentation, Panel Documentation, etc.

Product, hardware support, implementation & setup knowledge.Participate as required in FEED studies under the supervision of the Technical Execution Lead.

Work with the Director of Operations and / or Project Manager to discuss needs for current, upcoming assigned tasks and to forecast remaining hours on assigned projects or services tasks.

Follow policies, procedures and methodologies. Understand and ensure that TCC (Total Customer Commitment) standards are upheld.

Skills Required : Knowledge of Kuka, ABB and Fanuc Robots is a great assetImplementation and configuration experience with Siemens PLC systems and WinCC Platform.

Strong computer and networking skillset, covering both computer hardware and software.Operating systems and network topologies.

Networking includes switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as physical hardware transport layers (fiber and copper).Process control concepts, instrumentation, and electrical concepts.

Programming experience with any modern object oriented language.Experience with commissioning, loop checkout, factory acceptance testing, start-up of automation projects.Competencies
