Your New Role

As the Senior Transportation Director, Rail, you will lead and manage the domestic transportation department, focusing on both road and rail logistics across North America.

You will report directly to the Senior Vice President and play a critical role in maintaining superior customer service and operational performance during a period of significant growth.

Managing the transportation of millions of tons of materials annually, you will be responsible for optimizing efficiencies in cost, performance, and safety.

Your duties will include leading a team of professionals, negotiating with rail service providers, developing key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring effective asset utilization.

What You Need to Succeed in This Role

To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or supply chain management, and have at least 10 years of logistics experience with a strong focus on railway operations.

You will bring a proven track record of senior leadership in fast-paced, high-growth environments, along with excellent decision-making skills, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with railway transport regulations and change management is crucial. Exceptional organizational and communication skills are required, and bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.

Your ability to navigate and thrive in an entrepreneurial setting will be a key asset.

Votre Nouveau Rôle

En tant que Directeur Principal des Transports, Rail, vous dirigerez et gérerez le département des transports domestiques, en vous concentrant sur la logistique routière et ferroviaire à travers l'Amérique du Nord.

Vous relèverez directement du Vice-Président Senior et jouerez un rôle crucial dans le maintien d’un service client supérieur et des performances opérationnelles pendant une période de croissance significative.

En gérant le transport de millions de tonnes de matériaux chaque année, vous serez responsable de l'optimisation de l'efficacité en termes de coûts, de performance et de sécurité.

Vos fonctions incluront la direction d'une équipe de professionnels, la négociation avec les fournisseurs de services ferroviaires, le développement d'indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) et la garantie d'une utilisation efficace des actifs.

Ce Qu'il Vous Faut pour Réussir dans Ce Rôle

Pour réussir dans ce rôle, vous devez posséder un baccalauréat en affaires, en logistique ou en gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement, et avoir au moins 10 ans d'expérience en logistique avec un fort accent sur les opérations ferroviaires.

Vous apporterez une expérience avérée en matière de leadership senior dans des environnements à croissance rapide, ainsi que d'excellentes compétences en prise de décision, sens des affaires et capacité de résolution de problèmes.

La familiarité avec les règlements de transport ferroviaire et la gestion du changement est essentielle. Des compétences organisationnelles et de communication exceptionnelles sont requises, et une maîtrise bilingue en anglais et en français est fortement souhaitée.

Votre capacité à naviguer et à prospérer dans un cadre entrepreneurial sera un atout clé.
