Job Title : Senior Software Developer

Location : Milton, ON

Duration : 3 months Contract

Work Type : Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Pay Range : C$500 - C$600 / Day

Summary :

We're seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer (VB.NET) to join our team for a 3-month contract position. You'll translate technical specifications into working applications, troubleshoot software issues, and collaborate with IT professionals throughout the development lifecycle.

This hybrid role requires a strong internet connection for remote work with occasional on-site meetings at our Milton location.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain VB.NET applications using C#, ASP.NET, Java Applets, .NET Core, and other relevant technologies.
• Analyze and translate technical specifications into functional code.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot software problems.
• Collaborate with IT professionals on design, development, and testing.
• Support analysis, participate in working groups, and document client needs.
• Ensure WCAG AA compliance and develop user interfaces accessible by screen readers.
• Manage and integrate Crystal 2020 reports into projects.

Qualifications :

• 3+ years of experience developing VB.NET applications in Visual Studio 2019.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, jQuery, Spring.NET framework, and emerging web technologies.
• Proven experience working with Oracle 11.x, 12.x, and 19c databases.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps pipelines, CI / CD, and Windows Server configurations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.

Bonus Points :

• Knowledge of rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
• Experience with middleware and gateways.
• Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) standards.
• Experience providing user and system documentation.
