Position : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location : Flagstaff, AZ
Shifts : Days / Nights
Pay Rate : $40 - 44 / hr
Position Description :
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for providing essential nursing care to geriatric residents within the scope of your license.
Your duties include observing, reporting, and assisting in the management of residents’ physical conditions and behaviors.
You will collaborate with RNs and physicians to carry out prescribed treatment plans, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for residents.
As an LPN, you may also oversee the work of subordinate staff, including Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies.
The role may involve limited supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the charge nurse.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver geriatric nursing care, treatment, and services as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Oversee and train subordinate staff in specific aspects of resident care.
Monitor and report residents' behavior and physical condition to supervising RNs or physicians.
Administer medications and interventions according to the care plan.
Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
Apply Arizona Management System (AMS) tools for continuous process improvements in resident care.
Lead the nursing team during shifts, particularly if acting as the charge nurse.
Skills Required :
Knowledge of practical nursing methods and techniques.
Ability to observe and report changes in resident behavior and physical conditions.
Familiarity with state laws and regulations governing geriatric care.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Interpersonal and team management skills.
Experience in nursing home or long-term care settings.
Essential Requirements :
Prior experience in a nursing home environment.
Active LPN license in the State of Arizona.
Ability to obtain and retain a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
A valid driver’s license
