Position Overview
As a member of a Home Care Team, reporting to the Manager Health Services, the incumbent functions as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a consistent standard of client nursing services.
This is achieved through responsible management of nursing staff and other resources. Nursing Resource Coordinators supervise and manage their staff according to the MNU collective agreement, CRNM Standards of Practice and Operational Standards for the Visiting Nurse Program.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years recent clinical nursing experience. Community experience an asset.
- Experience supervising staff required, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Case Management experience an asset.
Education (Degree / Diploma / Certificate)
Registered Nurse : Minimum Diploma; BN preferred.
Certification / Licensure / Registration
- Active CRNM registration.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Requires a valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle.
- Subject to a Criminal Records Check.

- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize a large complex workload to meet deadlines.

- Demonstrates the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity as it relates to clients and staff.
- Demonstrates ability to function as a team member; works collaboratively across sectors; is an active participant in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Basic computer skills in a windows environment.
