Overview : The ECE Instructor will deliver academic curriculum and course content in a manner that is aligned with the ECE Program’s Statement of Purpose.

Timings : 4 : 30 - 9 : 30 PM - 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) (25 hours weekly)
Responsibilities :
- Deliver the VanWest ECE Basic curriculum in an inclusive and diverse manner.
- Evaluate student performance.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
- Support administrative functions to enhance student experience.
- Act in a respectful and responsible manner that upholds the College standards.
- Participate in College and program activities.
- Monitor, mentor, and evaluate students during field observations and / or practicum.
- Reports to the Director of Child and Youth Care Programs and the Academic Director as needed.
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of experience working in the early years field.
- Valid ECE Certificate from the ECE Registry.
- Practical experience delivering ECE training in a post-secondary environment is an asset.
- Solid understanding of the BC Child Care Regulations, Child Care Occupational Standards, BC ELF, ECEBC Code of Ethics, Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care Framework, and other key documentation, legislation and / or relevant government policy.
- Successfully pass a Criminal Record Search and be willing to obtain First Aid training.
