Our client is a Vancouver-based corporate, commercial, and real estate law firm that serves a broad range of local, national, and international clients.
As one of the oldest firms in the city, they are entering an exciting new phase due to the retirement of a partner and the implementation of a new firm structure effective January 1, 2025.

Position Summary
As the Law Firm - Accountant and Office Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the firm’s daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
Position : Full-Time
Hours : 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m., Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Compensation : $83,000.00 to $105,000.00 (with potential bonus if KPIs are attained)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lawyers in the daily operation of the firm.
- Trust accounting and banking (including month-end bank reconciliations).
- Payroll, benefits, and vacation scheduling.
- Assist management with all HR responsibilities.
- Liaise between management and staff.
- Oversee management and third-party maintenance of office equipment and technology.
- Serve as the primary liaison with third-party providers, including Property Managers and Information Technology consultants.
- Monitor renewal dates for leases, insurance, and other time-sensitive contracts.
- Handle remittances and reporting to various government agencies and the Law Society of British Columbia, including Annual Trust Reports and CDIC reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a law firm.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and PCLaw.
- Strong ability to multitask.
- Problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and compartmentalize tasks.
- Reliable with good judgment and the ability to work under minimal supervision and show initiative.
- Friendly and upbeat demeanor.
