The datagovernance analyst also provides the Institute support through supporting theresolution of data issues across multi-disciplinary departments at theInstitute, with patience and dedication.

KeyResponsibilities :
Liaising and collaborating with functional areas andcolleagues to gather information and perform analysis on data issues and develop / facilitate remediation recommendations, as appropriate.
Documentation, monitoring, and tracking of dataissues, data standards, and evolving processes for data management, asappropriate.
Assisting in the development and delivering of datagovernance education and awareness for data stewardship function and data usersat the Institute.
Contributes to the development, maintenance, andadministration of NAIT's data catalogue, business glossary, and associatedtools.
Works with business and ITS staff to obtain datadefinitions and associated information such as classification.
Provide advice and guidance for records management anddata lifecycle principles.
Working with appropriate business and ITS stakeholders(including Legal, and ITS Information Security) to ensure alignment with NAIT'sdata policies and procedures.
Skills& Abilities :
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate & influence stakeholders atvarying levels and all parts of the business.
Strong facilitation skills & negotiation skills.
Ability to solve complex problems.
Candidate must be self-motivated, organized andanalytical.
Aptitude & interest to learn about NAIT businessdepartments.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Knowledge of data governance concepts and frameworks, suchas DMBoK, non-invasive data governance, etc.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informationscience, or related field.
Experience in data management disciplines.
CDMP or equivalent is an asset.
Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration : $79,795.82- $105,715.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
