Hays is partnered with an award-winning new home builder with over 40 years of experience in the Calgary market. With over 7munities across the Greater Calgary Metropolitan area, they are currently in a growth phase and are looking to add an Architectural Technologist to their Drafting Team.
This role will focus on 3D modelling in Revit, production of working drawings, and production and grading of plot plans.

Your new role
In your role, your duties and responsibilities will be; produce accurate and detailed drawings, specifications, and plans for residential home building projects.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure that all drawings and plans meet client requirements and building codes and manage and organize project files, drawings, and documents.
Create site and grading plans and developing customer working drawings and plot plans. Produce final house plans for production and interact with clients regarding custom design and detailing.
Customize standard building plans to align with client selections and upgrades.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of in drafting / design in wood frame construction and a strong understanding of the local building codes and current land use bylaws for Calgary.
You must have a solid understanding of the residential construction processes, building materials, permit processes, etc.
Prior wood-framing production drafting experience in the Canadian single family residential Industry is considered a strong asset.
You will have an Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent. You must have proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. You will be successful if you adapt easily to change and are eager to take on new challenges.
What you'll get in return
In exchange for your hard work andmitment you will earn $60-70K (dependent on experience) + bonus, benefits including health + dental, RRSP up to 4% after the first years service.
