Job Description
Reporting to, and under the leadership of the Senior Vice-President, Sales, Group Benefits & Retirement Solutions (GBRS) for either Canada West, Canada Central & Atlantic, or Canada East Region, the incumbent leads the regional strategy and operations related to the GBRS Sales, including Group Insurance, Group Savings and Retirement (GSR) Solutions, and joint offers.
This is a key role to develop and support overall Regional GBRS distribution strategic focus, growth objectives, organizational alignment, create new sales capabilities and build market leadership and brand.
Your Day to Day
- Actively contribute and participate in GBRS Sales Leadership Committee.
- Define and implement regional sales and marketing strategies for all distribution channels (i.e., Aggregators, Brokers, Consulting Firms) in the Region for the overall GBRS, including Group Insurance, Group Savings and Retirement Solutions and joint offers, in support of the overall GBRS strategic focus and growth objectives.
- Directly lead and support a team of Directors, Account Executives and employees with respect to direct customer service, retention of existing customers and acquisition of new customers in the Region.
- Responsible for the management of inforce contracts to ensure client loyalty and satisfaction and retention with proper renewal strategy (for group insurance) for the Region.
- In collaboration with the National VPs of Sales GI and GSR, responsible for human resource management, including staffing & performance evaluations for all GBRS leaders and employees reporting to them.
Responsible for attainment of objectives related to new business development, business retention and profitability for either Group Insurance or Group Savings and retirement Solutions in the Region.
- Responsible for the development of new business proposals, pursuit strategies and finalist presentations relating to new business in the Region.
- Actively maintains relationships with key stakeholders in the Region and is the appointed Executive Sponsor for specific key clients.
What You Have
- Undergraduate degree in related discipline with 10 years and more of relevant experience.
- Extremely customer-oriented with a deep understanding of sales and service issues.
- Advanced knowledge of French and English due to communicating with clients and stakeholders in written and spoken correspondence on a daily basis in both languages.
- Strong industry profile with the ability to create and extend partner networks, internal and external.
- Actively support teamwork and talent development, attraction and retention.
- Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking with exceptional business acumen.

Compensation
The typical hiring range for this position is from $155,000 and $180,000 annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
All permanent employees of iA are also entitled to an annual bonus.
