Position : Real Estate Law Clerk
Location : Toronto, ON
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000 per year (depending on experience)
Industry : Law / Real Estate / Legal / Law Firm
Employment Term : Fulltime / Permanent
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Prepare, draft, and review legal documents related to residential and commercial real estate transactions (e.g., purchase agreements, leases, closing documents)
- Manage all aspects of real estate closings, including title searches, requisitions, and mortgage documents
- Conduct due diligence on real estate matters, including reviewing zoning and planning regulations
- Assist with corporate / commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions
- Maintain organized client files and ensure timely documentation filing
- Provide administrative support to real estate lawyers and assist with general case management
- Performs all other duties.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent certification
- 5 years of experience as a Law Clerk in real estate law
- Demonstrated experience managing over 30 files per month, including sales, purchases, and refinance transactions.
- Proficiency in real estate transaction software (e.g., Teraview, Conveyancer)
- Strong organizational skills with a sharp focus on detail and precision.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
