Here’s the job opportunity As a Business Systems Analyst at ivari, you will utilize Life Insurance domain knowledge, analytical skill and a variety of requirement gathering techniques to understand the business needs, to elicit, analyze, document, and communicate business and system requirements for supporting company’s external websites and internal web applications.
As part of the Enterprise Web Services team, you will provide end-to-end support through all the phases of a systems development life cycle.
You will utilize analytics tools to track, report, and analyze website trends to understand digital user behavior and identify opportunities for website enhancements.
The Business Systems Analyst will : Develop business requirement documentation, system design specification, use cases, mockup web screen designs and workflow diagrams.
Organize information gathered from multiple sources, and present information in a manner that business stakeholders can review and approve.
Act as subject matter expert on application(s) supported and liaise between the team and business stakeholders for functionality enhancements and new developments.
Conduct required analysis to arrive at solutions through use of JAD sessions and / or related research gathering processes.
Engage in the development and execution of testing plans, test scenarios and test cases.Work with web developers to ensure adequate tracking on key website features, provide web analytics dashboards on website engagement & performance, and identify key insights & opportunities for website enhancements.
Provide implementation support, production support, and problem resolution for the application systems and associated test environments.
Contribute to the overall analysis, scoping, estimating and planning for projects.What we are looking for Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent.Knowledge in Canadian Life insurance sector. LOMA certification is an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of management, business, IT and vendor resources.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Fundamental knowledge of website structure, design, web analytics and web accessibility.
Experience with SQL, HTML, XML and JSON.General understanding of the best practices involved with user-experience (UX) designKnowledgeable in data driven analysis or data mapping or design flow practices.
Ability to facilitate business meetings and JAD sessions at all levels of the organization.Sound knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (Agile).
Good ability to work independently and collaboratively in larger groups.Ability to create clear documentation and explain complex process flows.
