Work environment
This position requires onsite work because the work cannot be performed efficiently or effectively offsite.
The Office Environment :
Training
We provide extensive training and development to allow you to acquire comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Service Canada's programs and services.
Training is provided either in person or virtually with subject matter experts or online, self-directed.

This is a high-volume client service environment providing clerical support in office and warehouse environments. You will receive, classify, and sort mail and client information.
You will be required to maintain and update various databases and tracking systems. Physical effort will be required, including moving and lifting boxes.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to create a CR-03 pool of qualified candidates within Service Canada in Victoria, BC.
The work location for this position is Victoria, BC. These positions require working in office. Remote work agreements will not be offered.
This pool could also be used to staff similar positions of various tenures within Employment and Social Development Canada in Victoria, BC.
A random selection of applications may be made. Selected applicants will be assessed and those who meet all the essential qualifications will be placed in the qualified pool(s).
Subsequent random selections may be made from the remaining applications and assessments may be conducted at a later date.
Your application will be active for 120 days. You will receive notice on your account : 30 days before your application is about to expire.

WAITING PERIOD FOR REASSESSMENT : The retest period for this assessment is 90 days from the date of results notification.

EDUCATION :
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.
- A Secondary School Diploma refers to a High School Diploma.
- Equivalencies granted by provincial or territorial authorities as a secondary school equivalency (e.g. General Education Development (GED), Adult Basic Education (ABE), etc.) will be accepted
- A degree from a recognized* post-secondary institution will be accepted in lieu of a Secondary School Diploma
A recognized post-secondary institution includes those categorized as "recognized" as well as "authorized" by The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC), external)

Clerical experience such as sending emails, filing, and managing a calendar
