What You'll be Doing :
- Accountable for the weekly approval of commission and refunds that are due to be issued via wire transfer and cheque.
- Creating payment schedules of the approved commission and refunds to provide to the AP team to issue.
- Daily approval and processing of credit card refunds
- Create and send out commission remittance to our agency partners.
- Owning and maintaining a dedicated inbox to assist in answering and resolving queries from agency partners, and other internal teams.
- Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to within a 48-hour window.
- Assist with account reconciliation, while preparing and applying journal entry postings.
- Perform other ad hoc projects / assignments as required by management.
- Back-up / support partner functions in periods of absence.
- Partner with your peers to support other AR activities as required.
Desired Skills & Abilities :
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting is required.
- 1+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet deadlines.
- Fast learner and show strong problem-solving skills.
- Perform a high volume of numerical work with speed and accuracy.
- Excellent English skills. (written and oral)
- Extremely detail oriented and customer service oriented.
- Good understanding and use of financial and operating systems. (Great Plains or Workday would be considered an asset)
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strict deadlines.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Confident, Customer service oriented with a flexible and cooperative approach.
- Previous experience working with commission is a bonus.
- Previous experience working within a travel-related business is a bonus.
