Job Summary
In collaboration with the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs a variety of clerical, pharmaceutical and other general duties in the Pharmacy and other areas.
Functions include, sterile and non-sterile preparations, unit dose pre-packaging and drug distribution, narcotic issue, purchasing and receiving supplies, dispensing first dose unit doses, bin filling unit doses, refilling of automated dispensing cabinets, and extemporaneous preparations.
Travel to offsite units, known as the RCU, to provide Omnicell refill and patient specific doses.

Qualifications
- Licensed by OCP, education obtained from an accredited Pharmacy technician program (CCAPP accredited Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs).
