Our office in Airdrie, Alberta is currently seeking a sales representative to solicit new business from the electronics manufacturing industry.

Sales Representative
The Sales Representative is responsible for selling the company’s Compliance and Testing services. The Sales Representative will reach or exceed business targets through telephone sales, trade shows, visits to customers, etc.
This individual will also develop phone based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.
Integrity, vision, and tenacity are essential for this role.
Job Duties
Call prospects
Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base
Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process
Strengthen existing customer base through follow-up calls and email cross sell and upsell
Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects
Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales
Collaborate with Management to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
Coordinate customer scheduling as necessary
Set up and deliver sales presentations and other sales actions
Provide professional presentations of Company services while onsite
Create quotation responses to potential clients in a timely and comprehensive manner
- Coordinate and support marketing efforts for trade shows, exhibits, and other events
- Following up on business opportunities.
- Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining accurate expense accounts.
- Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Enhancing up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
- Identifying and qualifying prospective customers through research, networking, and cold-calling.
- Liaising between the Company and the customers for up-to-date pricing and services.
- Scheduling appointments and meeting existing customers in order to identify and qualify potential prospects and present current product offers.
- Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically.
Requirements
University or college degree in Electronics / Physics, Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
2 to 3 years of direct work experience in a sales or telesales capacity
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.
Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent listening skills
Strong written communication skills
Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
Able to perform unit conversion (SI, Imperial) and basic Physics calculations (F ma, V RI,...)
Ability to travel and attend sales events or exhibits
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
High level of integrity and work ethic
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word (2003 or 2010)
Experience with VBA programming is a major asset
Working Conditions
Travel to meet customer and attend trade show is required
Ability to attend and conduct presentations
Required to use computer and peripherals with Windows operating system
Overtime as required
