WAN Deployment Network Engineer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced WAN Deployment Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying, troubleshooting, and managing large-scale service provider networks.

This role will involve working on cutting-edge WAN technologies, including advanced routing protocols, MPLS, and network automation, to ensure reliable and efficient network performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of WAN infrastructure.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and VXLAN technologies.
• Implement and manage MPLS, RSVP, and traffic engineering solutions for efficient WAN operations.
• Monitor network performance and manage devices using network management tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and service providers to manage network scalability and performance improvements.
• Assist in network automation efforts using Python or PowerShell for configuration management.
• Work on SDN or SD-WAN technologies to enhance network efficiency and scalability.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting support during network incidents to maintain optimal performance.

Required Skills :

• 7-8 years of network troubleshooting and deployment experience in large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or IS-IS .
• Expertise in VXLAN, eBGP, TCP , and solid understanding of routing fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with MPLS, RSVP, and Traffic Engineering .
• Experience with network management tools for monitoring and device management.
• Strong familiarity with WAN engineering in a service provider network .
• Must have basic coding skills in Python or PowerShell for network automation.
• Knowledge of SDN or SD-WAN technologies is a plus.
• Bonus if you understand Bash scripts.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working in a global or multi-region WAN network environment.
• Familiarity with software-defined networking tools and practices.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP or CCIE in Routing & Switching or Service Provider are a plus.
