The Opportunity :
WSP Canada is growing and our ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) division is seeking a licensed Senior Structural Engineer (P.
Eng.) for one of our GTA based offices to work on our wide range of projects in the public sector and industrial sectors.
You will be responsible for overseeing and leading the structural design and analysis of structural systems ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
This role is a hybrid position and can ideally be based out of our Etobicoke, Mississauga, or Thornhill office.

What you can expect to do here :
- Perform structural design and analysis of industrial plants, including buildings, equipment supports, foundations, and related structures.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for structural components and systems.
- Ensure that all designs meet applicable codes, project standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure integrated and coordinated designs.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data, identify design challenges, and provide solutions.
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
- Collaborate with the structural manager and project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct structural analysis and design using industry-standard software and tools.
What you'll bring to WSP :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in structural design principles, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA-3D, S-Frame, SAP2000, SAFE).
- Strong understanding of construction materials and their properties.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery, including leading and managing projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.s.
- Possess a valid Full-G driver's license.
