In this role, you will :
Participate in the development of the People Services team schedule and ensure consistent orientations and trainings, practices, access to tools, and shift handover;
assist in the setup and daily refresh of the welcome area and support scheduling, tracking and organizing training events.
- Meet and welcome all new and returning workers at site to verify ID and schedule an orientation, post personnel schedules, organizational charts, integration kits and other response related resources.
- Review and update daily schedule for accuracy and maintain an accurate workforce schedule including reflecting days off, sick time, early departures, site changes or team compositions.
- Support internal inquiries from CRC personnel or from assigned partners by telephone, email and in-person; and direct inquiries as required to appropriate resources.
- Observe and educate on routine precautions to ensure occupational health and safety standards and escalate serious misconduct, incidents, discipline and terminations of response personnel.
- Continuous improvement of processes, communication tools and service delivery, and contribute to the recruitment and engagement of PS Emergency Operations team members.
What we are looking for :
- Diploma or training in Human Resources Management, Volunteer Management, business, or related discipline.
- One (1) or more years of experience in Human Resources or business administration. A combination of education and management experience would be considered..
- Fluency in French & English is strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of MS Office (including Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and Sharepoint (or similar collaboration tools and platforms).
- Strong ability for planning, organization, and administrative skills with an emphasis on accuracy and a proven ability to work unsupervised and remotely within an interoperable team.
- Ability to work in in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, ability to work non-traditional and longer hours often on short notice including evenings, weekends, and statutory holiday.
- Frequent meetings, training sessions or deployments (sometimes at night) will require attendance at CRC offices and an off-site meeting location.
Working conditions :
- Some work is performed in a virtual office environment; therefore, the candidate must have reliable access to a private workspace, a computer, high speed internet and a telephone or work from a CRC office if applicable.
- Ability to work in in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, be on-call, work shifts, non-traditional and longer hours often on short notice including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Frequent meetings, training sessions or deployments (including overnight) will require attendance at CRC offices and an off-site meeting location.
- If working in a response site, health and safety considerations will be outlined prior to the assignment.
