Job Description

As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for order picking, building pallets for shipment and loading / unloading trailers while operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks.

This role involves working in a cold environment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse. The scheduled for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM and offers a pay rate of $23 per hour.

You will be expected to work stat holidays.

Responsibilities

Order picking and building pallets by hand for shipment (50-60% of the time).

Operating SDCB and rider pallet jack (10-20% of the time).

Offloading and loading containers, only if very experienced on the machines (20% of the time).

Using an RF scanner and pick sheet to prepare orders for shipment.

Wrapping skids and moving pallets.

General clean-up of the warehouse.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift 50lbs.

Minimum of 1 year recent experience (within the past 2 years) operating SDCB forklift and rider pallet jack.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience operating a SDCB and rider pallet jack.

Experience in a similar industry warehouse.

Work Environment

The warehouse is a fast-paced and busy environment with constant deliveries coming in and going out. The team consists of 9 people, with approximately 50 total employees.

This facility is a cold environment and warm clothing is a must, including sweaters, jackets, long pants, and steel-toed boots.

A vest will be provided. Shifts start at 7 : 00am during the training period and then move to 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm, with frequent overtime required.

You will work every Saturday and every stat holiday, with two days off per week (Sunday and Wednesday). Break times include two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break.

The person is required to check in with the supervisor before leaving the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Coquitlam, British Columbia until the end of December, 2025.
