- Prepare food to the higheststandards of quality and presentation in work station as directedby the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef onduty.
- Work within thestation safely and efficiently per the policies and procedures& standards of the kitchen.
- Prepare thenecessary food items as directed by the Chef de Partie / Sous Cheffollowing standards in a timely fashion to ensure no interruptionto guest service.
- Adhere tostandardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency andensure all standards are met.
- Keepworkstation clean and organized including fridges / freezerscountertops and stovetops.
- Ensurestation opening and closing procedures are carried out up tostandard.
- Keep overproduction andfood waste to a minimum to reduce foodcosts.
- Operate all kitchen equipmentfollowing safety standards.
- Ensureall food products are handled stored prepared and served safelyfollowing the hotel and government Food Safetyguidelines.
- Ensuresall ECOSURE standardsand processes are followed at all times including but not limitedto filling out daily temperature logs labeling and dating of itemsensuring food storage areas are cleaned dailyetc.
- Report deficiencies in thekitchen equipment functionality and quality of food products toChef de Partie / Sous Cheftimely.
- Complete other jobrelatedduties as assigned by thesupervisor.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 yearsPastry experience
- Valid City of Toronto FoodHandler Certificate required
- Experience in aluxury hotel with comparable service and standards anasset
- Certificate or Diploma from a recognizedCulinary School
- Excellent interpersonal andcommunicationskills
