Role summary :
Our client, a global pharmaceutical company backed by a private equity firm, is seeking an experienced Costing Project Manager to join their finance team.
The role will involve identifying and implementing process improvements and automation initiatives, as part of the company's preparations for a potential IPO.
The successful candidate will work closely with the finance leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting practices at multiple manufacturing sites worldwide.

The Opportunity :
We are looking for a Costing Project Manager to help our client streamline their cost accounting processes and implement standard costing practices across all sites.
The role will involve collaborating with various departments, including operations and finance, to ensure a smooth transition and harmonization of accounting policies.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and dynamic finance team and contribute to the company's growth and success.
Success Criteria & Deliverables :
At 3 Months :
- Establish standard costing practices at all Canadian manufacturing sites by the end of the year
- Implement standard costing at the India site by the end of January
What We Need From You :
- Intermediate experience with Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Project management experience
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and processes
- CPA designation preferred
- Experience with private equity backed companies
- Knowledge of SAP systems
- Familiarity with internal reporting packages and organizational vs. P&L structure
- Experience working with large revenue (1B+) and complex manufacturing environments
