Intermediate Full Stack Software Developer

MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for an Intermediate Full Stack Software Developer (6-month contract role) for our client in the Finance industry.

The office is in Downtown Vancouver and the role requires the person to work on-site in the office Monday to Thursday and then remote on Friday.

Pay Rate : $35.00 to $40.00 / hour

Scope of Duties

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on development strategy and execution plans while meeting the functional requirements of the business.
• Translate business speak into technical designs and solutions.
• Lead data-driven application design from business requirements.
• Deliver robust technical solutions with a focus on security, performance, usability, testability, reliability, and scalability.
• Communicate effectively to ensure successful project delivery and manage expectations.
• Ensure timely delivery of code and proactively communicate any issues to the Business Analysts and Project Manager.
• Work with technologies such as C# .NET, SQL / NoSQL databases, Azure cloud development.

Skill Sets

• A university degree, preferably in Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience with a strong grasp in object-oriented programming.
• 3-5 years of professional experience developing C# .NET enterprise applications.
• Experience and comfort working directly with stored procedures in SQL Server / T-SQL.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A passion to learn and build your technical skills.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with Azure services (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions) is an advantage.
• Experience with React is a plus.
