Compensation : $65,000 - $75,000 per year

The Position :
We are seeking a talented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of all health and safety related programs and initiatives for their assigned facilities.
You will also provide expertise and support to ensure compliance with relevant legislated requirements and internal standards.

What You’ll Be Doing :
- Support the implementation and maintenance of our health and safety programs and communications.
- Act as a health and safety advisor to employees, supervisors and projects.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify key risks and appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate JHSC program requirements, including monthly inspections, quarterly meetings and training for committee members.
- Maintain current knowledge of local health and safety legislation and other applicable standards.
What We’re Looking For :
- An educational background in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with conducting hazard assessments and incident investigations
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and related legislation.
