The successful candidate
will have the following course load. We are on a semester system (2 per school year) with the teaching staff teaching 4 courses per semester. Course Grade Sections ADST – COMPUTER STUDIES 10 10 1 ADST - Electronics and Robotics 9 1 ADST - Electronics and Robotics 8 1 Electronics and Robotics IB Sem 8 1 COMPUTER PROGRAMMING 11 11 1 COMPUTER PROGRAMMING 12 12 1 ENGINEERING 11 / 12 11 1 ROBOTICS 11 / 12 11 / 12 1 Successful candidates must have a Bachelor of Education (anywhere from within Canada), and must be aware of and able to plan according to BC's new curriculum. You must be eligible to be employed in Canada. Priority will be given to applicants who are certified to teach in British Columbia. Khalsa School is an independent Sikh school in Surrey British Columbia. Part of the student’s education at our schools includes education in the Sikh Faith (Sikh music, history, scriptures). However, these subjects are taught by our religious department and staff. Successful applicants will only be required to teach the BC Curriculum. Our high school is located within walking distance of the SkyTrain and public bus routes. Salary : Starting salary for a BC or Canadian certified teacher is $5800 / month (Teachers who are subject restricted do not start on this scale). Educational requirements : Bachelor of Education –Successful candidates must have the appropriate certification level, have qualifications and meet requirements to work in Canada and teach in BC. If you are certified to teach in another province, you will be considered - granted you apply for BC certification.Please provide your cover letter and resume and clearly detail your education, qualifications, experience and current contact information.
