To provide centralized coordination of operational and administrative functions for the Division of Vice-President Research & Innovation. This position supports the Senior Executive Officer on HR, finance, facilities and space, events and communications, and general administrative activities to ensure all university procedures and processes are followed.
Education :
Post-secondary diploma in business or related field.
Experience :
Experience in business writing and professional communications.
Knowledge :
Knowledge of university governance structure
Knowledge of research administration processes
Knowledge of university operational policies and procedures around facilities, space and information technology
Knowledge of research HR processes and procedures
Knowledge of finance processes and procedures
Skills :
Effective communication skills to facilitate effective communication with faculty members, staff, senior leadership, and external partners.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage situations with tact and diplomacy and resolve conflicts.
Effective organizational and time management skills, attention to details, to coordinate meetings, interviews, and events. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
