Strong understanding of a variety of mineral processing techniques. Experience in iron ore and base metals mineral processing industries preferred. Proficiency in metallurgical modeling software and data analysis tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Our client, a mineral exploration and development company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metallurgical Engineer to join their team in Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mineral processing, metallurgy, and process optimization, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the mining industry.
Responsibilities :
- Metallurgical Testing & Analysis : Conduct laboratory and on-site testing to evaluate ore characteristics and processing methods.
- Process Optimization : Develop and improve metallurgical processes to enhance recovery, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Control : Monitor and maintain the quality of metallurgical processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Technical Reporting : Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation on metallurgical findings, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration & Support : Work closely with mining engineers, geologists, and plant operators to optimize production and resolve operational challenges.
- Research & Development : Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in metallurgical processes to improve overall efficiency and sustainability.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance : Ensure all metallurgical processes align with safety regulations and environmental standards.
