It is one of the largest providers of production chemicals and drilling fluid systems and is focused on being the leading provider of technically advanced chemical solutions throughout the life cycle of the oilfield.CES Energy Solutions, is looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant – Accounts Payable. The Administrative Assistant will support the Accounts Payable Team located in Calgary, Alberta, and report directly to the Manager, Accounts Payable. The candidate will also have a willingness to work in fast paced oil and gas environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following : Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approval.Process accounts payable transactions. Assist the Accounts Payable team with different ad hoc tasks.Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.Reconcile vendor statements.Respond to and follow-up on internal and external inquiries.Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.Assist with the implementation and improvement of accounts payable processes and systemsAssist with payment processing as required.Prepare AP cheques for mailing.Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.General administrative tasks are required. Other duties as needed.Necessary qualifications and skillset : Accounting certificate / diploma would be an asset. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.Professional, articulate, good verbal communication. Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Outlook.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Must have excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work alone without direct supervision. Self-motivated and able to multi-task. Desire to work in a team focused environment.Ability to work under pressure.
