Due to continued growth, the organization is excited to wee aboard a Human Resources Director to join the growing team.

Your new role

As the Human Resources Director, you will report directly to the COO, and work closely with the CFO and the wider Executive leadership team and the entire business.

This role will own the HR function for the organization, a business of 200 employees and rapidly growing : providing ongoing support to management and staff in all areas of HR.

The Human Resources Director will contribute strategically to achieve organizational goals through effective strategic planning and operational implementation.

In this role you will lead the areas of; People Development, Performance Management, Corporate Policy Development,pensation, Benefits andpliance, Strategic Business Partnership, Talent Acquisition / Recruiting, Onboarding and Offboarding.

The organization is experiencing a period of growth, and in this role, you will lead, grow, and develop the HR function to support its growth.

  • In your day to day you will; review and revise the long term HR strategy; develop an Environmental, Social andernance strategy;
  • collaborate with Leadership to foster a culture centred on business Values; create development streams to support employees growth and career development;
  • lead the performance review process; conduct business wide pulse checks relating to culture and morale to support organizational performance;
  • lead thepensation review process to ensure remainingpetitive with the market; own the recruitment process and drive executive management recruitment alongside Senior Leadership;
  • outlining succession strategies; working with post-secondary institutions to create student programs and create a hiring pipeline;
  • ensure corporate policies are up-to-date andpliant; review, support and facilitate rmendations for employment terminations;

develop and monitor an annual budget for HR, including employee recognition, corporate events and administration.

What you’ll need to Succeed

To succeed as the Human Resources Director, you will bring 9+ years of progressive experience in your Human Resources career and will have been operating in a leadership capacity for at least 5 years.

You will have post-secondary education relating to Human resources and will have strong knowledge of Canadian employment and labour laws.

A CPHR designation is valued in this role. To succeed in this role, you must bring relatable industry experience from another labor-heavy environment;

experienceing from the construction industry is particularly considered an asset. You will bring a proven ability to manage change and create the most innovative HR solutions.

You will be a fantasticmunicator, and will have strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills. You will be technology savvy and bring experience working withputer programs and software.

You will be passionate about working with an established and growing organization and be a capable Human Resources leader, who is passionate about working both strategically and being someone who can roll up their sleeves and support the business operationally in the day to day.
