Permanent position :
Unionized environment
Shift work, Schedules available :
Evening : Monday to Friday - 3pm to 11pm
Overnight : Monday to Friday - 11pm to 7am
Weekends : Fri / Sat / Sun or Sat / Sun / Mon 6am to 6pm
Overtime : available after 8 hrs a day, or 40hrs in a week.
Salary : 42- 44 an hour (Unionized rates with shift premiums)
Weekend Top up : Aggressive top-ups for completing 36 scheduled hours

Responsibilities
As a Millwright in the manufacturing facility, a normal day would include :
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair : Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical equipment, including molding and casting machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors, and furnaces to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Installation and Commissioning : Set up and install new equipment, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and configuration to optimize production processes and meet safety standards.
- Preventive Maintenance : Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules, conducting regular inspections and servicing equipment to prevent unplanned breakdowns.
- Safety and Compliance : Adhere to workplace safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and participate in safety training, ensuring equipment and maintenance procedures comply with local and federal regulations.
- Technical Troubleshooting : Diagnose mechanical issues within foundry equipment, utilizing blueprints, schematics, and testing instruments to accurately pinpoint and resolve complex issues.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, and provide reports on equipment performance to help streamline maintenance planning.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other maintenance and production teams, sharing insights on equipment performance, suggesting improvements, and ensuring optimal operation within the foundry environment.
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Journeyman Red Seal ticket
- Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors systems Is a strong asset
- Basic welding skills
- Good attitude and consistent work ethic
- access to a car is a strong asset (location doesn't have overnight bus service)
- Ability to withstand hot environments
- Physically capable of prolonged standing, bending, lifting 40lbs, standing for long periods of time
