Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus) Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience in a similar role (an asset). Proficiency with QuickBooks and Google Suite. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French in order to communicate with collaborators outside the province of Quebec. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities :
- Recording financial transactions : Assist in recording and maintaining financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger journal entries, sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Accounts payable and receivable : Help process vendor invoices, review expenses, and ensure timely payments. Assist in client invoicing and follow up on collections.
- Bank reconciliations : Support the reconciliation of bank statements and credit card statements to identify discrepancies with the accounting system and ensure accuracy. Provide support for the reconciliation process.
- Month-end closing support : Participate in the month-end closing process, including necessary general ledger adjustments and preparation of end-of-period reports.
- Maintaining financial records : Organize and file financial documents, receipts, invoices, and supporting records for easy accessibility.
- Administrative support : Manage the accounting email inbox and assist the finance team by performing various administrative tasks and participating in continuous improvement projects.
