Job description

Responsibilities :

  • Recording financial transactions : Assist in recording and maintaining financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger journal entries, sales, purchases, and expenses.
  • Accounts payable and receivable : Help process vendor invoices, review expenses, and ensure timely payments. Assist in client invoicing and follow up on collections.
  • Bank reconciliations : Support the reconciliation of bank statements and credit card statements to identify discrepancies with the accounting system and ensure accuracy. Provide support for the reconciliation process.
  • Month-end closing support : Participate in the month-end closing process, including necessary general ledger adjustments and preparation of end-of-period reports.
  • Maintaining financial records : Organize and file financial documents, receipts, invoices, and supporting records for easy accessibility.
  • Administrative support : Manage the accounting email inbox and assist the finance team by performing various administrative tasks and participating in continuous improvement projects.Profile :
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in a similar role (an asset).
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Google Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French in order to communicate with collaborators outside the province of Quebec.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
