Senior Director, DevOps

We're seeking a Senior Director of DevOps to lead our DevOps strategy across diverse environments. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with expertise in AWS, serverless, containerization, CI / CD, and AI-driven solutions.

With a proven track record of increasing deployment frequency, you'll manage a team of 10-12 engineers, ensuring seamless integration of DevOps practices leveraging AI technologies to achieve secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure.

About the role

Leadership & Strategy : Develop and execute a DevOps strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on accelerating time-to-market, productivity, and efficiency.

Streamline CI / CD pipelines for 100% automated deployments with no manual interventions. Lead and mentor a DevOps team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Measure team effectiveness and benchmark against industry standards to identify areas for improvement. Track and analyze key metrics to identify optimization opportunities and ensure alignment with strategic goals

Cloud Infrastructure : Oversee the architecture, deployment, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

Experience with GCP and Azure is a plus.

• Containerization : Led efforts around containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient orchestration, deployment, and scaling of containerized applications.
• CI / CD Automation : Drive the development and optimization of CI / CD pipelines to achieve fully automated deployments, ensuring reliability, speed, and security.

Leverage AI-powered tools to automate and streamline delivery processes, such as predictive analytics for failure detection, intelligent automation for repetitive tasks, or automated configuration management.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Champion the use of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
• Collaboration : Work closely with development, infrastructure, security, PMO, and executive teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps processes.

Provide clear communication and reporting to C-level executives regarding operational performance and improvements.

Operational Excellence : Focus on optimizing deployment strategies, improving build and release cycles, and ensuring smooth, fast, and secure application delivery.

Collaborate with teams to implement best DevOps practices and ensure effective collaboration between development and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams, including C-level executives.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS, including deploying and managing large-scale cloud infrastructures.
• Extensive experience with serverless and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for orchestrating and managing containers at scale.
• Proven experience with CI / CD pipeline development and automation tools such as AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect Professional.
• Experience with Platform Engineering and Generative AI technologies.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and cloud security best practices.
• Knowledge of GCP and Azure cloud environments.
