Position Summary :
Building Automation Preventative Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks on building automation systems, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, commissioning systems, testing and calibrating end devices, providing technical support to customers and sales, and completing maintenance reports and PM reviews.
Responsibilities :
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on DDC control systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose DDC control systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose IP / MSTP networks.
- Commission DDC control systems.
- Coordinate with customers and provide site recommendations.
- Completing maintenance reports and PM reviews with clients.
- Provide technical help and support to the Service team.
- Provide site information and technical information to sales.
Qualifications :
- Working knowledge of building systems, primarily HVAC.
- 3 years relevant experience in a related environment including a working knowledge of HVAC, building control systems (pneumatic) plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety systems / fire suppression, and related equipment and systems.
- Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals.
- Professional and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Networking background an asset.
- Delta / Johnson / Siemens experience an asset.
- Proficient computer / cell phone skills appropriate to the role (word, excel, email, BAS, CMMS).
- A proven systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Provide services to both internal and external customers.
