As the successful candidate, you will provide advisory support services in the areas of health, wellness and safety, disability management, recruitment, orientation and onboarding, job evaluation, training and development and Collective Agreement and policy administration. You will :
- Provide advisory support in the areas of health, wellness, safety and disability management by coordinating the OH&S program, liaising with WorkSafe BC and benefit providers, and promoting health, wellness, and safety across the organization.
- Provide full cycle recruitment support in collaboration with hiring managers, including executing and participating in the full recruitment process and coordinating new employee orientation and onboarding processes.
- Participate on the job evaluation committee to evaluate positions and maintain up to date job descriptions.
- Assist the Manager of Human Resources with Collective Agreement administration.
- Provide advice and support services to the management team regarding the human resources policies, procedures and programs.
- Draft correspondence, conduct research and analysis, support recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and provide office administration support.
We are seeking a candidate with a degree in Business or Human Resources and at least 3 years of related experience, including expertise in occupational health and safety and disability management.
You will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive employee and labour relations.
Strong analytical, time management, decision-making, and communication skills are essential. Additionally, you will be team-oriented, adaptable, flexible with changing priorities, and demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence.
This is an exempt position that has a salary range of $79,900 (min) $88,900 (mid), 97,700 (max). It is the Regional District of Central Okanagan's (RDCO) philosophy to pay in the middle of the range for a fully qualified applicant.
