Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager, IS Applications, this co-op student will be responsible for :

  • Assist in the monitoring of production systems (including application logs)
  • Identify and resolve problems in order to prevent negative impacts to application users
  • Review, analyze and update software application documentation including architectural drawings using Microsoft Visio
  • Communicate effectively and demonstrate professional competence with users, co-workers and management
  • Perform software analysis and requirement gathering along with some minor build and test activities

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent program
  • Familiar and able to work with various Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, SharePoint and Visio
  • Software development training
  • Valid class 5 BC driver’s license
