Opportunity knocks
As our Payroll Administrator, you will support the preparation of semi-monthly payroll for processing for approx. 500+ employees, verify and update time and attendance records submitted by Managers, prepare Records of Employment, and respond to employees’ inquiries.
You also will assist with new hires and the termination process and ensure all required documents are received on time and signed off.
In addition, you will maintain payroll filing on a pay period basis, process salary changes, retroactive pay, bonus and commissions, update and validate them, and assist the payroll team with other related tasks.
Your story
You have at least 2+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience. You are a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certified with the Canadian Payroll Association or are working towards it.
You possess post-secondary education in accounting and / or finance, and ideally you have used UKG / Ultipro software. You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, have a good understanding of payroll and accounting principles, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You are self-motivated and able to think independently while working as part of the payroll team. You feel comfortable in accurately monitoring a large volume of information and data, have a professional and approachable customer service orientation, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under the pressure of deadlines, with the ability to multitask.
If beyond English, you speak French, bring multi-provincial experience, and new Payroll / HR system implementation, you earn extra points!
Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check.
What’s in it for you?
We are proud to offer a competitive salary for this role in the range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year. The actually salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal equity.
