Première Moisson is currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for its plant located in Baie d'Urfé. The successful candidate will work with the management team to improve safety, quality, cost, efficiency and waste reduction.
He / she will ensure that maintenance objectives are met, and monitor all maintenance activities.

Responsibilities :
Administrative management
- The incumbent is responsible for establishing work schedules and maximizing the resources available to carry out tasks
- The Supervisor is responsible for the training of all staff and for keeping this training strong in all relevant areas
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for both team members and colleagues
- Responsible for supervising periodic inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with specifications
- Makes recommendations for equipment improvements or changes based on analysis of production data and trends
- The supervisor is responsible for applying and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- The supervisor must work closely with the buyer and maintenance planner
Health & Safety
- Promote and assist employees in complying with health and safety requirements
- Actively participate in interdepartmental committees to find solutions to real problems
- Investigate accidents and correct hazardous situations to prevent personal injury and / or equipment breakdown
Work relations
- Cultivate excellent working relationships with employees, colleagues and management to improve the collective work environment and thus eliminate behaviors that may lead to disciplinary action
- Maintain harmony in the workplace so that everyone can participate to their full potential
- Be a coach who clearly establishes and communicates departmental expectations, fairly assesses team performance, and makes adjustments along the way to ensure corporate and individual objectives are met

Planning
- Respond to ad hoc and unforeseen requests from various departments
- Member of the HACCP and crisis management team
- Plays a major role in supporting the Quality Assurance department in implementing standards by complying with established procedures at all times, but also by acting as a coach to staff
Other related duties
- Member of the HACCP team
- Keeps superior informed of any problematic or conflictual situation
- Actively participates in meetings and other organizational activities (including ad hoc projects)
- Support production in compliance with food safety procedures and various certifications (SQF, GMO-free, Organic, Kosher, etc.)
Requirements :
- Minimum D.E.P. in electromechanics
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a food plant
- Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics
- Knowledge of automation - Asset
- Experience in maintenance work in a food plant - Asset
- Computer skills - MS Office, HTML, messaging software
- Sense of initiative and resourcefulness.
- Strong organizational, planning and priority management skills.
- Ability to manage stress
- Good interpersonal skills
- Spoken and written French - Mandatory
- Spoken and written English - Asset
