Salary Range : $50,000 - $70,000 / yr

About the Role :

As a Commercial Mortgage Operations Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in comprehending the full life cycle of a mortgage portfolio.

Your responsibilities encompass overseeing end-to-end Commercial Servicing administration, encompassing post-funding transactions, addressing borrower, investor, CMHC, and other client inquiries, and maintaining vital interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key aspects of your role include collecting and tracking financial and property data for loan reviews, aiding in the administration of construction advances, conducting mortgage underwriting and annual operating statement analysis, and collaborating with borrower clients to secure requisite documentation and elucidations for operating statement discrepancies.

In addition, you will assist in evaluating property inspection reports, producing reports for internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to commercial loan securitization endeavors.

Your duties will also entail :

  • Ensuring correspondence to borrowers and lenders adheres to company policies.
  • Accurate processing of post-closing lending cycle transactions according to team function requirements.
  • Developing a proficiency in other team functions to serve as a function floater, such as Borrower Relations, Collections & Investor Relations, and Collateral Management.
  • Implementing controls to safeguard the mortgage loan system's integrity and information accuracy.
  • Conducting peer checks within the team.
  • Attending team and department trainings and meetings, providing recommendations for enhanced practices.
  • Effective document management, including physical and electronic file organization related to client files and databases.
  • Managing client and customer relations, both internal and external, to facilitate information requests.
  • Responding to routine data collection requests, inputting data into spreadsheets, standard reports, and internal systems

This role is for you if you have :

  • Results-driven with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in analytical and numerical skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office user.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, judgment, and integrity.
  • Passion for real estate lending business.
  • Self-motivated, process-oriented, and possesses strong administration and operation skills.
  • Ownership and accountability for work, ability to meet tight deadlines, and handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (preferred).
  • Undergraduate degree or nearing completion in Real Estate, Business Administration, Math, Accounting, Insurance, or Economics.
  • Experience in the banking, credit union, or financial services industry is an asset

A propos du poste :

En tant qu'administrateur des opérations hypothécaires commerciales, vous jouerez un rôle essentiel dans la compréhension du cycle de vie complet d'un portefeuille de prêts hypothécaires.

Vos responsabilités comprennent la supervision de l'administration des services commerciaux de bout en bout, y compris les transactions post-financement, le traitement des demandes des emprunteurs, des investisseurs, de la SCHL et d'autres clients, ainsi que le maintien d'interactions vitales avec les parties prenantes internes et externes.
