Social Media Coordinator
Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Coordinator to join our team based in Canada. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role.

As Social Media Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role to develop, oversee and build on Human Appeal (HA)’s online community management programme via selecting talent through outreach, insights and internal knowledge, while conducting ongoing reviews of performance, and analysis of results and learnings to inform strategy and strengthen HA’s online communities.
To also operate across the key prominent social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, You Tube, TikTok, Twitch, ClubHouse , looking at how HA can grow our online communities strategically, and where we can engage, support and reassure through insight, impact, endorsers, influencers and experts.
All with a view to retaining, growing, and optimising HA’s online community in order to maximise donations year-on-year.
We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Social Media Coordinator :
- REACH to be measured on metrics such as number of new partnerships secured, audience growth, and brand impressions
- CONVERT to be measured on metrics such as conversion rate, number of donations, donation value, referral rates, and overall ROAS
- ENGAGE to be measured on metrics such as engagement rates per campaign, user generated content, percentage of existing partnerships, number of brand mentions, and influencer engagement per channel
- ACTION & CONTROL to be measured on metrics such as weekly reporting against the RACE Framework
What we’re looking for in our Social Media Coordinator :
- Degree-educated in a related field, . PR, Marketing, or equivalent relevant qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar role managing a social media community
- Experienced in talent / Influencer management
- Experience of pitching and negotiating with external partners and agencies
- Experience in interpreting and analysing data to identify marketing strategies
- Significant experience working in a commercial environment, such as an agency
- Significant experience in PR and influencer management, brand culture, with an established network of gen-Z influencer contacts.
Multi country experience a bonus
- Project management experience
- Track record of successful collaborations with affiliates / influencers
- 2 years’ account handling or influencer-management experience
- MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of both current and emerging global platforms including but not limited to : Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Club House & Instagram
- Basic Google analytics knowledge would be a bonus
Fluent English is essential. Additional languages . French, Arabic are desirable
