Reporting to the Manager of Programs and Services, as the Program Manager of Business Solutions, you will build, design and implement a program of multiple projects by collaborating with teams across various business units at The City.
This program will modernize City operations by integrating emerging technologies and business solutions, including artificial intelligence.
The initial objective is to enhance The City's intake processes and improve customer experience for applications and permits in the development industry. Primary duties include :
- Work with senior leaders and staff to design a coordinated delivery approach for strategic portfolios and program management.
- Leverage input from corporate partners to establish strategic priorities, multi-year objectives and realistic delivery timelines.
- Develop an efficient program-wide framework for risk and issue management.
- Create a network of multi-disciplinary projects while making timely decisions to adjust priorities, timelines and deliverables.
- Design, establish and cultivate a team of experts to ensure successful delivery of the program's mandates and objectives.
- Set goals, recruit, train staff and monitor team performance on multi-disciplinary teams across multiple business units.
- Enhance program performance by gathering feedback and insights from employees, leaders and strategic partnerships.
- Create budget and program plans for multi-million-dollar programs.
- Conduct financial analysis, create reports and make decisions using data from financial statements to enhance budgeting strategies and develop additional plans.
- Establish and manage cross-corporate governance structure, framework and processes for a multi-year program wile overseeing the functions of various decisions to ensure project and program targets and deliverable are met on time and on budget.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Finance, Planning, Public Administration or a related field and at least 5 years of leadership experience with programs / projects of significant scope and budget.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- Knowledge or experience with municipal development processes would be considered an asset.
- You are an effective communicator and leader with a commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and demonstrated business and political acumen.
