Shirley Parsons is currently recruiting a Construction Safety Manager consultant for wind project support in Alberta.
The candidate must have extensive experience in construction safety, ideally supporting wind turbine construction or heavy industrial construction project support.
These positions are long term contracts with travel assistance, per diem, and extensive overtime.
The Role :
- Develop, manage, and implement appropriate health and safety procedures in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.
- Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments.
- Manage and perform activities to ensure compliance with the site EHS program.
- Participate in detailed incident investigation teams to determine root causes and corrective and preventive actions.
The Candidate :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related degree preferred
- 3+ years of EHS experience in a construction environment preferred
- Knowledge of Canadian safety regulations
- Strong communication skills, and ability to engage with employees at all levels.
