What will be your daily
pursuit?
This is a year-round, full time position, reporting to the PMO Director on the Pursuit IT Team. The successful candidate will assist in leading and coordinating in-flight and upcoming IT projects including new acquisitions as well as system replacements in our existing software portfolio.
They will be expected to liaise closely with the Pursuit teams in all geographies, with opportunity for scheduled trips and short-term relocations as needed.
Successful candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or business management with an emphasis on information technology.
Practical experience of seven years or more is preferred. PMP®-certification is required.
What will you do in this job?
- Manage and oversee large scale, high impact IT deployments and acquisitions from planning to delivery
- Oversee project budgets, resources, vendors, cost, schedule and scope.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Liaising with Business stakeholders to establish project scope and objectives through documented requirements gathering and process flows.
- Track project performance and monitor, report and mitigate project risks
- Maintain regular upstream and downstream communication with all Business stakeholders on updates, challenges and opportunities on projects.
- Work closely with Pursuit IT teams to develop strategies and best-approaches for roll-outs
- Manage RFP process from requirements gathering through vendor selection
- Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the business.
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or business management with an emphasis on information technology.
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Proven experience with Project Management in an IT environment for 7+ years
- A strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
- Previous experience leading vendor evaluation and RFP processes
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry and reservation system applications
