Jardeg is recruiting Rope Access Technicians (Welders, Pipefitters and Level 3's) to join the Heartland Constructors team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta .

Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! The successful candidate would be working 12 hours per day, on a 14 / 14 shift which allows for a good work life balance.

Rope Access Technicians are used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.

Responsibilities :

• Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
• Solid technical skills as a Rope Access Technician is ideal.
• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on structures and equipment at heights using rope access techniques.
• Conduct rigging and rope systems for safe access and egress
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
• Solid technical skills as a Rope Access Technician is ideal.

Minimum Requirements :

• IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification is required.
• Satisfactory Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
• Certified B-Pressure Welders, CWB Welders, Pipefitters, Insulators and Electricians are considered an asset.
• Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
• ESC Common Safety Orientation
• ESC Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness
• ESC Confined Space & Monitor
• Valid Driver’s License
