Essential Functions

  • Coordinates accounting functions and programs for field locations, providing financial activities directly to leadership and help shape company economic decisions.
  • Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and departments.
  • Assists with preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Assists with annual financial audit preparations.
  • Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Contributes to the development of new and amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data, and supporting junior staff as required.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Performs projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • General ledger application experience preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, GAAP.
  • Knowledgeable with consolidation accounting.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Skill to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Must be able to work independently, prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting.
  • Equipment used to perform the essential function of this position includes, but is not limited to computer, fax, copier, merchant terminal, multi-line phone system, personal or company owned vehicle.
  • Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift to 25 pounds.
  • This position may also require reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • This position may also be exposed to chemicals and / or blood borne pathogens. Exposure risk is considered : Low Moderate High
  • Overtime is sometimes necessary or required.

Travel

  • This position may require up to 10 percent out of area and overnight travel.
  • Travel is primarily local occurring during the business day only.
